Dr. Josie Geller

Dr. Josie Geller is a  psychologist whose research primarily addresses eating disorders, emphasizing patient readiness, motivation, and the role of self-compassion in recovery. She serves as Director of Research for the Eating Disorders Program at St. Paul's Hospital and holds an Associate Professorship in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Geller developed the Short Treatment Allocation Tool for Eating Disorders, an innovative assessment capturing a comprehensive spectrum of eating disorder presentations across children, youth, and adults. Her impactful research has earned her several prestigious honors, including the Research Scholar Award, Research Senior Scholar Award, and the Health Professional-Investigator Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Additionally, Dr. Geller has served as President of the Eating Disorders Association of Canada.
