Dr. James Boswell

Dr. James Boswell is an Associate Professor of Psychology at SUNY Albany. His research focuses on psychotherapy processes and outcomes, particularly in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), therapist competence, and the integration of evidence-based practices in routine clinical care. He is widely recognized for his work on therapist-client interactions, treatment personalization, and psychotherapy training.

Dr. Boswell has published extensively in leading psychology journals and has contributed significantly to advancing the understanding of how therapy works and how to improve its effectiveness. In addition to his research, he is committed to training future clinicians and advancing clinical psychology through evidence-based approaches.
