Dr. Craig Bryan

Dr. Craig J. Bryan is a board-certified clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral psychology, with a focus on suicide prevention. He serves as the Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he also leads as the Division Director for Recovery and Resilience. His research is dedicated to developing and testing brief interventions to reduce suicidal behaviors, particularly among military personnel and veterans. 


Dr. Bryan has received numerous honors including the Arthur W. Melton Award for Early Career Achievement, the Peter J.N. Linnerooth National Service Award, the Charles S. Gersoni Military Psychology Award, and the Edwin S. Shneidman Award. His expertise is further reflected in his extensive body of work, with over 200 scientific articles and several books, including Rethinking Suicide.
